Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-08-27 · Effective August 27, 2026 · Replaced on September 18, 2026
ConfirmPH is built around real businesses, real renters, real bookings, and trustworthy records. You may not use ConfirmPH for fraud, deception, harassment, unauthorized access, privacy abuse, fake records, review manipulation, spam, security attacks, or other activity that harms users, businesses, ConfirmPH, or the public. This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who accesses or uses ConfirmPH, including renters and customers, prospective renters, rental-business owners, managers and staff, account administrators, reviewers, people submitting inquiries, bookings, reports, documents, photographs, or other Content, users of integrations, imports, APIs, or other authorized tools, and visitors who interact with platform features. This Policy applies together with the ConfirmPH Terms of Service, Customer / Renter Terms, Business Terms, Reviews Policy, Trust & Safety Policy, Privacy Policy, and other applicable policies. Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, listing restrictions, temporary account limitations, suspension, or termination, subject to the enforcement provisions below.
1. Be real. Be accurate. Do not manipulate the record.
You must not knowingly create, submit, alter, or use information in a way intended to make a false rental, business, customer, booking, vehicle, payment, review, document, or platform event appear genuine. This includes creating or manipulating:
- fake businesses
- fake customers
- fake vehicles
- fake inquiries
- fake bookings
- fake completed rentals
- fake payments
- fake confirmations
- fake reviews
- false inspection records
- false incident records
fabricated damage evidence; or
other false platform history.
You must not use ConfirmPH to give false, fabricated, or misleading information the appearance of being independently verified merely because it appears in the platform.
2. Do not manufacture trust
You must not create sham activity to manipulate public or internal trust signals. This includes creating fake customers, bookings, completed rentals, reviews, inspections, transactions, or activity history for the purpose of manipulating review eligibility, ratings, rankings, search visibility, trust signals, perceived business activity, or customer confidence.
Creating a fake booking merely so it can later appear as a legitimate booking-linked review is prohibited.
3. Businesses must represent themselves truthfully
Rental businesses must not knowingly create or publish materially false or misleading information. Businesses must not:
- impersonate another business
- claim ownership or control of a business they do not represent
- use materially false contact or location information
- list vehicles they do not own, control, or have permission to offer
- advertise vehicles that do not exist
- knowingly misrepresent vehicle availability
- knowingly misrepresent prices or important fees
- use bait-and-switch rental offers
- conceal material rental conditions in a misleading manner
- falsely claim licences, permits, insurance, accreditation, certification, or government approval
falsely claim ConfirmPH certification or independent verification; or
connect a website they do not own, operate, or have authority to connect.
Rental businesses remain responsible for ensuring that the rentals and vehicles they offer are lawfully available and accurately described.
4. Do not misrepresent rental terms
Users must not deliberately misrepresent important rental information. Businesses must not knowingly misstate or conceal material matters such as price, required deposits, mandatory fees, cancellation conditions, vehicle category, availability, pickup or return arrangements, mileage restrictions, fuel or charging obligations, material eligibility requirements, or other important rental conditions.
Renters must not knowingly falsify information in order to obtain a rental, discount, refund, or other benefit.
5. Fraud and falsified evidence are prohibited
You must not use ConfirmPH to create, submit, distribute, or rely on fraudulent or falsified evidence, including forged documents, fake payment evidence, fabricated booking records, stolen identification, false customer identities, fraudulent confirmations, manipulated inspection evidence, manipulated damage photographs, fabricated incident evidence, fake screenshots, false support evidence, or knowingly false reports.
Do not materially alter screenshots, photographs, documents, messages, or other evidence in a way intended to deceive ConfirmPH or another user.
6. Documents must be genuine and lawfully used
You must not knowingly upload, present, or use a forged, stolen, fraudulently altered, or unlawfully obtained document. This may include identification, driver's licences, government documents, OR/CR or registration records, insurance records, business permits, authorization letters, payment evidence, rental agreements, inspection records, or other documents.
You must not falsely claim that a document has been independently verified by ConfirmPH when it has merely been submitted or recorded.
7. Photographs, logos, and other Content
Only submit Content that you own, created, or are authorized to use. You must not knowingly upload or publish material that infringes intellectual-property rights, impersonates another person or business, has been materially altered to deceive, exposes private personal information without lawful justification, contains malware or malicious code, is unlawful, or is submitted for fraud, harassment, or abuse.
8. Renters and customers must use ConfirmPH honestly
Renters and customers must not create intentionally fake inquiries; create fake booking requests; provide false identity or contact information for fraudulent purposes; impersonate another renter; use stolen identification; use stolen payment information; submit fake payment evidence; fabricate damage claims; submit knowingly fraudulent complaints; misuse booking-lookup systems; misuse confirmation links; misuse review invitations; create sham rentals to manufacture review eligibility; spam rental businesses; threaten staff; or harass a Business through platform tools.
Legitimate complaints, disputes, or negative reviews do not violate this Policy merely because a Business disagrees with them.
9. Businesses and staff must not manipulate operational records
Businesses and Business Users must not knowingly manipulate ConfirmPH records to mislead Customers, staff, ConfirmPH, or the public. Prohibited activity includes creating fictional customers or bookings; recording fake completed rentals; falsely recording payment receipt; falsifying pickup or return history; falsifying inspections; manipulating damage or incident records; intentionally hiding a serious known issue from an affected Customer; abusing staff permissions; impersonating Customers; using Customer records to intimidate or harass; or falsifying operational history to create a misleading impression.
Business owners are responsible for reasonably managing and removing staff access.
10. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences
You must not manipulate ConfirmPH reviews. Prohibited activity includes fake reviews, buying or selling reviews, creating fake bookings to obtain review eligibility, staff impersonating renters, coordinated review attacks, misleading incentives for positive reviews, threatening Customers over negative reviews, retaliating against Customers for legitimate criticism, knowingly fabricated allegations, disclosing private Customer information in a reply, or using reviews for extortion or harassment.
Businesses may invite genuine eligible Customers to leave reviews. Renters may leave legitimate negative reviews. The Reviews Policy contains additional requirements.
11. Reports must be made in good faith
ConfirmPH reporting tools are intended to protect users and platform integrity. Do not use them as a weapon against competitors, Customers, staff, or other users. You must not knowingly submit false reports; fabricate evidence; alter evidence to deceive; coordinate malicious reporting; repeatedly report another user primarily to harass them; knowingly make false criminal accusations; or flood support systems in order to disrupt another user or ConfirmPH.
A report is not abusive merely because ConfirmPH ultimately determines that no violation occurred. Users may report legitimate concerns even when they do not possess complete proof.
12. Harassment, threats, and harmful conduct
Do not use ConfirmPH to make credible threats of violence; stalk another person; sexually harass another person; blackmail or extort; dox another person; publish private information to intimidate someone; engage in targeted discriminatory abuse; organize abusive campaigns; repeatedly send unwanted abusive communications; or encourage others to harass a person or Business.
Legitimate criticism, complaints, disputes, or unfavorable reviews do not violate this rule merely because they are negative. Serious threats or safety concerns may result in immediate restrictions.
13. Personal information must be used only for legitimate purposes
Access to personal information through ConfirmPH does not give you unlimited permission to use it. You must not sell or trade personal information without lawful authority; publicly expose private Customer or staff information without justification; access records without authorization or a legitimate purpose; use rental records for stalking, harassment, intimidation, or exploitation; use Customer information for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis; give unauthorized people access to private records; unlawfully export or redistribute personal information; use private data for discrimination or abuse; or otherwise use personal information for an illegitimate or unlawful purpose.
Do not upload, import, repost, or distribute personal information that you know or reasonably suspect was obtained through unauthorized access, theft, or a data breach. Businesses remain responsible for complying with applicable privacy and employment requirements when handling Customer and staff information.
14. Imports, pasted Content, and connected systems
You may only paste, upload, import, transmit, or connect information that you are authorized to use. You must not use ConfirmPH to import scraped private conversations, leaked Customer databases, stolen contact lists, private communications obtained without authority, forged information, unlawfully obtained personal data, irrelevant sensitive information, or other Content you have no lawful right to use.
Businesses using connected websites, integrations, imports, or automation remain responsible for having authority to connect those systems and process the information transmitted through them.
15. Unauthorized access and security abuse
Do not attack, interfere with, or attempt to bypass ConfirmPH. You must not access another person's account without permission; access another Business's private records; attempt to defeat authentication; circumvent permissions or access controls; exploit vulnerabilities for harmful purposes; steal credentials; introduce malware; conduct phishing; alter or destroy data without authorization; intentionally interfere with platform availability; evade account restrictions or suspension; probe private systems without authorization; or perform unauthorized security testing.
A violation of ConfirmPH policy is not automatically a statement that criminal law has been violated. Different legal standards may apply.
16. Security vulnerabilities
If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability:
- do not exploit it
- do not access more information than reasonably necessary to identify the issue
- do not retain or publish private data
- do not disrupt the Service
- do not use threats to demand payment
- do not publicly disclose an unresolved vulnerability in a manner that creates unnecessary risk
- and stop testing if ConfirmPH instructs you to stop
Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through the official ConfirmPH Security, Contact, or Support channel. Security testing is not authorized unless ConfirmPH has expressly permitted it or published a vulnerability-disclosure program covering the activity.
17. Unauthorized automation and scraping
You may use automation expressly provided or authorized by ConfirmPH, including supported imports, integrations, APIs, or other approved tools. You may not use unauthorized bots, crawlers, scripts, or automated systems to scrape or harvest platform information; collect private Customer information; harvest contact details for spam; bulk-copy listings or reviews; clone a competing database; evade rate limits; bypass access controls; create fake accounts or bookings; overload ConfirmPH; manipulate platform activity; or acquire information that you are not authorized to access.
These restrictions do not prohibit activity that ConfirmPH expressly authorizes or that applicable law does not permit ConfirmPH to restrict.
18. Spam and abusive automation
Do not use ConfirmPH to send or generate abusive, deceptive, or unreasonable volumes of communications or activity, including mass fake inquiries, automated fake bookings, unsolicited bulk messages, repeated unwanted messages, form flooding, account-creation abuse, notification abuse, support flooding, contact harvesting, or automated activity intended to interfere with normal platform use.
ConfirmPH may apply reasonable technical controls to protect users and system availability.
19. Do not bypass billing, plan limits, or entitlements
You must not intentionally circumvent legitimate ConfirmPH billing rules or technical plan restrictions, including attempts to access paid functionality without authorization; manipulate subscription state; evade legitimate usage limits; exploit account structures to avoid applicable charges; fraudulently reuse trials; misuse add-ons; or tamper with billing or entitlement systems.
A legitimate billing dispute, refund request, chargeback, or good-faith challenge to a fee does not violate this section merely because ConfirmPH disagrees with it.
20. Do not misuse integrations or external systems
You must not use ConfirmPH integrations or connected systems to send forged information; deliver data to systems you do not control or have authority to use; replay or abuse integration events; overload connected systems; exfiltrate private data; bypass security controls; perform unauthorized actions; or facilitate fraud or abuse.
You remain responsible for the systems, credentials, destinations, and data you choose to connect where ConfirmPH allows such connections.
21. Illegal and seriously harmful activity
ConfirmPH must not be used to facilitate scams, identity theft, trafficking or exploitation, theft or sale of stolen property, phishing, malware distribution, fraudulent financial activity, unauthorized access, extortion, serious threats, unlawful discrimination, other criminal activity, or other seriously harmful conduct.
ConfirmPH may prohibit conduct under this Policy even where no criminal charge has been filed or established.
22. Do not interfere with moderation or enforcement
You must not attempt to evade or undermine ConfirmPH enforcement, including repeatedly creating replacement accounts after suspension; impersonating another person to regain access; using another Business account to evade restrictions; falsifying evidence during an appeal; threatening moderators or support personnel; interfering with investigations; or knowingly helping another person evade a platform restriction.
23. Enforcement
ConfirmPH may take action when it reasonably believes this Policy, another applicable ConfirmPH policy, or applicable law has been violated. Depending on the severity, context, risk, and history of the conduct, action may include warning the User; requesting correction; removing or restricting Content; disabling a feature; limiting platform activity; restricting a listing; reducing public visibility where appropriate; restricting a Business profile; temporarily limiting an account; suspending an account; terminating access; preserving relevant records; or taking another proportionate protective action.
ConfirmPH may act immediately where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, serious privacy risks, credible safety threats, ongoing abuse, unlawful activity, or significant risk to users or the platform. ConfirmPH does not need to apply identical action to every violation. Context and severity may differ.
24. Review and appeals
A report or allegation does not automatically prove that a User violated this Policy. Where appropriate, ConfirmPH may review relevant platform records; request additional information; ask affected parties for an explanation; consider supporting evidence; allow inaccurate information to be corrected; reconsider an enforcement decision; or provide an appeal or review process.
Temporary restrictions may remain in place while serious fraud, security, privacy, or safety concerns are investigated. ConfirmPH may limit repeat appeals that are abusive, fraudulent, or raise no meaningful new information.
25. Cooperation with lawful authorities
ConfirmPH may preserve or disclose relevant records where required or permitted by applicable law, lawful legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority. ConfirmPH does not promise that every report will be referred to police, regulators, or another authority. Likewise, ConfirmPH does not determine criminal guilt through platform moderation.
26. Emergencies
ConfirmPH is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, accidents, injuries, crimes, medical emergencies, or other urgent situations in the Philippines, contact 911 or the appropriate police, medical provider, fire service, roadside-assistance provider, or other relevant authority.
Do not rely on ConfirmPH support, reports, notifications, reviews, or platform tools for emergency assistance.
27. Changes to this Policy
ConfirmPH may update this Acceptable Use Policy to reflect changes in platform functionality, abuse patterns, security risks, moderation practices, applicable laws, related policies, or operational requirements. The Last updated date identifies the latest revision. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, ConfirmPH will use an appropriate process.
28. Contact
For questions about this Policy, abuse reports, security concerns, appeals, or other platform issues, use the official ConfirmPH Report, Contact, Support, or Security channel made available on the platform.
