Customer / Renter Terms

Version 2026-09-18 · Effective September 18, 2026

Previous versions: August 27, 2026

These Customer / Renter Terms (“Customer Terms”) govern your use of ConfirmPH as a customer or renter, including when you browse rental businesses, view public listings, send inquiries or booking requests, access booking links, review or confirm booking details, receive booking-related notices, submit reviews, report concerns, or use other customer-facing ConfirmPH features.

Related policies

These Customer Terms apply together with other ConfirmPH policies that may apply to the feature you use, including the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Reviews Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Trust & Safety Policy, Refund & Billing Policy, and Data Deletion Policy.

If these Customer Terms conflict with the general Terms of Service on a matter specifically concerning customer or renter use of ConfirmPH, these Customer Terms will apply to that matter unless the general Terms expressly state otherwise.

1. What ConfirmPH is

ConfirmPH is a software and information platform built for rental businesses and renters in the Philippines.

Depending on the features available and the participating rental business, ConfirmPH may allow you to:

  • discover rental businesses and listed vehicles or rental items
  • view public rental-business profiles
  • send rental inquiries
  • submit booking requests
  • choose a self-drive rental, or a rental with a driver supplied by the business, where the business offers both
  • name or invite the authorized drivers for a self-drive rental
  • receive and review booking information and the booking agreement version you are asked to accept
  • confirm booking details, accept later material changes, or request changes
  • receive booking-related links, notices, or reminders
  • see the handover and return records of your rental, and any post-rental assessment, security-deposit status or dispute
  • view public reviews and informational trust signals
  • submit booking-linked reviews after eligible rentals
  • report suspicious activity, scams, abuse, or other concerns

access renter guides and educational tools; and

contact ConfirmPH support.

ConfirmPH is designed to help create clearer rental records and communication between renters and rental businesses.

2. ConfirmPH is not the rental business

ConfirmPH does not own or operate the rental businesses listed on or using the platform.

Unless ConfirmPH expressly states otherwise in a separate written agreement, the rental agreement is between you and the rental business you choose. ConfirmPH is not a party to that rental agreement. This is the same whether the rental is self-drive or with a driver supplied by the business.

In a self-drive rental, you (or the authorized drivers accepted for the booking) drive the vehicle. In a with-driver rental, the business supplies and normally assigns the driver, and that driver is the business's responsibility, not ConfirmPH's.

The rental business remains responsible for matters including:

  • its vehicles or rental items
  • prices and fees
  • availability
  • advances, security deposits and refunds
  • rental policies
  • vehicle condition
  • insurance
  • registrations, permits, and other documents
  • renter and driver eligibility, and the drivers it supplies
  • pickup and return
  • staff actions
  • damage and penalty decisions
  • customer service

its own official invoices and receipts; and

compliance with applicable laws.

A business appearing on ConfirmPH does not mean ConfirmPH guarantees, endorses, licenses, insures, certifies, or approves that business.

3. Rental businesses provide their own information

Rental businesses are responsible for the information they submit, publish, or record through ConfirmPH. This may include:

  • business details
  • vehicle information
  • photographs
  • prices
  • availability
  • policies
  • deposits
  • fees
  • booking details
  • documents

descriptions; and

communications with customers.

ConfirmPH may provide tools that help businesses record, display, and manage this information.

Unless ConfirmPH expressly states otherwise, ConfirmPH does not independently verify every statement, document, vehicle, price, photograph, booking, or business record submitted to the platform.

You should confirm important information directly with the rental business before paying, travelling to pickup, or accepting a rental vehicle.

4. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of using ConfirmPH and entering into any applicable agreements.

If you intend to rent or drive a vehicle, the rental business may impose additional requirements, including:

  • minimum age
  • valid driver's licence
  • valid identification
  • deposit requirements
  • accepted payment methods
  • residency requirements

vehicle-category requirements; or

other rental-specific conditions.

ConfirmPH does not decide whether you are eligible to rent or drive a particular vehicle. The rental business is responsible for making that decision before releasing the vehicle.

5. Inquiries are not bookings

Sending an inquiry does not reserve a vehicle. An inquiry simply means you are asking the rental business about matters such as:

  • availability
  • pricing
  • dates
  • vehicles
  • pickup arrangements

rental requirements; or

other rental details.

Do not assume that a vehicle has been reserved merely because you sent an inquiry or received a response.

6. Booking requests are not automatically confirmed

Some rental businesses may allow customers to submit booking requests through ConfirmPH. A booking request means that booking information has been submitted for the rental business to review.

The rental business may still need to:

  • accept or decline the request
  • assign or change a vehicle
  • confirm pricing
  • request more information

modify details; or

create or approve the booking.

A booking request should not be treated as confirmed unless the relevant ConfirmPH booking state shows that the required confirmation process has been completed.

7. What “Confirmed” means

This section is important.

A booking record means that rental information has been recorded in ConfirmPH.

A customer confirmation means that you affirmatively confirmed a specific booking agreement version presented to you through the applicable ConfirmPH confirmation process. ConfirmPH records it as an electronic confirmation and acceptance, with the time and the version you accepted. It is not a qualified electronic signature.

A customer-confirmed booking records the details that were presented and accepted at that time. Depending on the booking, those details may include:

  • the booking agreement version
  • rental business
  • customer
  • service mode: self-drive, or with a driver supplied by the business
  • the authorized drivers, for a self-drive rental
  • assigned vehicle or rental item
  • pickup and return dates
  • pickup and return times
  • pickup or return location
  • rental price and its price items, including any driver-service charge or additional-driver fee
  • any advance or downpayment (part of the rental price)
  • any refundable security deposit (held by the business, separate from the rental price)
  • outstanding balance
  • booking reference

applicable booking terms, including cancellation, fuel and mileage terms; and

relevant booking notes.

Status labels such as Awaiting Staff Approval, Awaiting Customer Confirmation, Confirmed, Ongoing, Cancelled, Completed, or No Show describe the workflow state recorded in ConfirmPH.

A Confirmed status does not mean ConfirmPH independently guarantees:

  • future vehicle availability
  • vehicle condition
  • insurance
  • legal compliance
  • successful pickup, or that the vehicle will be released (release can also depend on other checks, such as vehicle safety and driver eligibility)
  • payment completion
  • refund or security deposit return
  • replacement vehicle availability
  • renter or driver eligibility

business performance; or

the outcome of a dispute.

ConfirmPH's role is to provide a clearer record of the information and actions recorded through the platform.

8. Booking changes and reconfirmation

Rental details may sometimes change after a booking has been created or confirmed. A material change needs your fresh acceptance of the new booking agreement version before it takes effect. Material changes include, for example:

  • a vehicle reassignment or replacement that changes what you agreed to
  • a material date or time change
  • a price change, including a driver-service charge or additional-driver fee
  • a change between self-drive and with-driver service
  • a change to the security deposit amount or to an advance or downpayment requirement
  • a change to cancellation, fuel or mileage terms

a material pickup or return change; or

any other material charge or term.

The updated booking information is presented to you for review, and you must affirmatively accept it before the booking is treated as reconfirmed. Until you do, the earlier terms are not silently replaced.

The version you accepted earlier remains part of the booking's history. A later version never overwrites it.

Operational details that do not change what you agreed to (for example, which of the business's drivers fulfils a with-driver trip at the same service and price) may be updated without reconfirmation, and are recorded.

You should review any changed details carefully before confirming them.

9. Check important details before payment or pickup

Before paying, sending an advance or a security deposit, travelling to pickup, or accepting a vehicle, review the important rental information. Depending on the rental, this may include:

  • business identity, and what ConfirmPH has actually reviewed about it
  • exact vehicle or agreed vehicle category
  • service mode: self-drive, or with a driver supplied by the business
  • pickup and return dates
  • pickup and return times
  • pickup and return locations
  • rental price and any driver-service charge
  • any advance or downpayment, and whether it is applied to the rental price
  • any refundable security deposit, and how it is returned or applied
  • remaining balance
  • payment method
  • fuel or charging policy
  • mileage restrictions
  • late-return fees
  • cancellation terms
  • damage rules
  • required identification
  • driver's licence requirements
  • delivery fees

included accessories; and

insurance or coverage information, including any deductible or excess.

Self-drive rentals. Every person who will drive must be an authorized driver for that booking and must independently meet the licence, business-policy and insurance requirements that apply to it. The person who makes the booking does not have to be the main driver. A driver who is not accepted for the booking may not drive the vehicle.

With-driver rentals. The business supplies and normally assigns the driver. You are not asked to meet the self-drive driver requirements.

Foreign licences and International Driving Permits. Whether a particular foreign licence can be used, for how long, and whether an International Driving Permit or translation is needed can depend on the licence, on Philippine rules and on the business's insurer. ConfirmPH does not publish one rule for every case; some foreign licences are reviewed individually by the business.

If information shown in ConfirmPH appears incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent with what the rental business told you, contact the rental business before proceeding.

10. Vehicle inspection and condition

You should inspect a rental vehicle before accepting or driving it. Where appropriate, check matters such as:

  • exterior condition
  • interior condition
  • existing scratches or damage
  • tires
  • lights
  • mirrors
  • fuel or battery level
  • visible dashboard warnings
  • keys
  • accessories

documents presented by the rental business; and

other obvious safety or condition concerns.

Where practical, take photographs or video before the rental begins. Report visible damage, missing items, incorrect details, or safety concerns to the rental business before driving away.

ConfirmPH may provide tools for recording vehicle condition, inspections, damage, incidents, or handover information. Those records do not mean ConfirmPH personally inspected the vehicle or guarantees its roadworthiness, safety, insurance, registration, or condition.

Acknowledging the pickup condition record confirms that the record shows the vehicle as you received it (for example, existing damage, fuel and odometer, keys and items). It is not a blanket acceptance of responsibility for any damage found later. If you disagree with the pickup record, say so before the vehicle is released; your disagreement is recorded.

Pickup and return records are kept separately and are never overwritten, so the condition at pickup can later be compared with the condition at return.

11. Payments made outside ConfirmPH

Rental businesses may accept payment outside ConfirmPH. Examples may include:

  • GCash
  • bank transfer
  • cash
  • payment links
  • PayPal

direct invoice; or

another arrangement agreed with the rental business.

Unless ConfirmPH clearly states that a payment is being processed through a ConfirmPH payment feature, the payment is being handled directly between you and the rental business or the applicable third-party payment provider. ConfirmPH does not act as an escrow agent and does not hold your rental payment, advance or security deposit.

The business may record in ConfirmPH that it received a payment, an advance or a security deposit, that it applied a deposit to a charge, or that it made a refund, with supporting evidence. Those are records of what the business reports.

ConfirmPH does not control or guarantee off-platform payments. This means ConfirmPH cannot guarantee that:

  • the rental business received a payment
  • a payment screenshot is genuine
  • a security deposit will be returned
  • a refund will be issued

a charge will be reversed; or

money sent directly to a rental business can be recovered.

A payment note, balance, deposit status, or other financial record shown in ConfirmPH reflects information recorded in the platform. It does not by itself prove that money was received, refunded, or recoverable.

A rental transaction summary or final account summary shown in ConfirmPH is not an official BIR invoice or official receipt, unless the rental business has itself issued one through its own properly registered process.

If ConfirmPH introduces customer payment processing or checkout services, additional payment terms may apply.

12. Deposits, refunds, fees, and rental disputes

Two different kinds of money are involved, and ConfirmPH always keeps them separate: an advance or downpayment is part of the rental price paid early; a refundable security deposit is held by the rental business under the rental terms and is later refunded, or applied to a charge.

Unless ConfirmPH expressly provides a separate payment-protection or dispute-resolution service, rental-specific financial disputes remain between you and the rental business. This includes disputes concerning:

  • advances and security deposits
  • refunds
  • damage charges
  • cleaning fees
  • fuel charges
  • late fees
  • cancellation fees

missing-item charges; and

other rental-specific amounts.

How ConfirmPH records damage and charges:

  • damage being observed or recorded does not by itself establish that you caused it or that you owe anything
  • acknowledging that damage exists is not the same as agreeing to pay the amount the business claims; any amount is proposed separately, and you can agree, partly agree, dispute it or ask for more information
  • an insurance claim, an insurer's decision or a policy deductible or excess does not by itself create an amount you owe
  • a proposed deduction from your security deposit must relate to a stated charge, with its basis and evidence, and it is shown to you before it is recorded as applied

a refund being approved and a refund actually being paid are different events, and are recorded separately.

ConfirmPH may retain platform records that may be relevant to a dispute. However, ConfirmPH cannot automatically require a rental business to:

  • refund money
  • release a security deposit
  • cancel a charge

accept a customer's version of events; or

resolve a dispute in a particular way.

ConfirmPH is not a court, an arbitrator or an insurer, and does not decide fault or legal liability. If a dispute is escalated to ConfirmPH, ConfirmPH may preserve the evidence, help both sides communicate and apply its own platform policies.

You should normally contact the rental business first. Suspected scams, fraud, impersonation, fake listings, abuse, or serious platform misuse may also be reported to ConfirmPH.

13. Availability and operational changes

Vehicle availability may change. Possible causes include:

  • a previous customer returning late
  • an accident
  • breakdown
  • maintenance
  • vehicle damage
  • inspection failure
  • a booking made outside ConfirmPH
  • incorrect data entry
  • staff error
  • payment issue
  • renter eligibility issue
  • emergency

severe weather or road conditions; or

other circumstances outside ConfirmPH's reasonable control.

ConfirmPH may provide operational warnings, conflict indicators, booking notices, or other signals based on information recorded in the platform. These tools may help businesses identify problems earlier. They do not guarantee that every availability or operational problem will be detected.

14. Reviews

ConfirmPH may allow eligible customers to submit reviews connected to completed bookings. Review invitations may be:

  • tied to a booking
  • limited in duration
  • single-use

associated with a rental business or vehicle; and

subject to moderation.

A booking-linked, verified booking, or similar review indicator means that the review was submitted through ConfirmPH's eligible booking-review process. It does not mean ConfirmPH independently verified every factual statement contained in the review.

Reviews must be truthful, relevant, lawful, and respectful. You must not submit:

  • fake reviews
  • paid or coordinated review manipulation
  • threats
  • harassment
  • knowingly false accusations
  • private personal information without lawful basis
  • spam

impersonation; or

unlawful content.

ConfirmPH may moderate, restrict, hide, reject, or remove reviews in accordance with the Reviews Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and applicable law.

15. Trust signals, badges, and public indicators

ConfirmPH may display informational indicators about rental businesses, vehicles, or platform activity. Examples may include:

  • active on ConfirmPH
  • profile completed
  • online booking availability
  • booking-linked reviews
  • narrow readiness signals, such as registration or insurance evidence reviewed by ConfirmPH
  • no active ConfirmPH safety hold
  • vehicle photographs
  • inspection information

response activity; or

other platform-generated indicators.

ConfirmPH does not use one general “verified” label. Where a signal concerns evidence, it shows which state the evidence is in: self-reported (entered by the business, not reviewed), evidence uploaded (provided, not yet reviewed), ConfirmPH reviewed (looked at by ConfirmPH under its own review standard), or authority review required (only a government office can confirm it). “Not verified” does not mean illegal, and “ConfirmPH reviewed” is not a government approval.

These indicators are based on information available to ConfirmPH. They are informational signals, not guarantees or certifications.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, they do not mean ConfirmPH has guaranteed or certified:

  • business honesty
  • government approval
  • licensing
  • vehicle safety (no active safety hold is not a guarantee that a vehicle is safe)
  • document authenticity
  • insurance
  • availability

security deposit protection; or

a problem-free rental.

A business's paid plan or sponsored placement is never a trust signal and never changes a verification, legal-readiness or safety status.

The meaning of a particular signal should be understood according to the explanation shown with that signal.

16. Documents and vehicle records

Rental businesses may record or upload information relating to:

  • registration
  • OR/CR
  • insurance
  • permits
  • inspections
  • maintenance
  • damage
  • incidents

vehicle condition; or

other business or vehicle documents.

Having a document on file is not the same as ConfirmPH having reviewed it. ConfirmPH shows the actual state: self-reported, evidence uploaded, ConfirmPH reviewed, or authority review required.

Unless ConfirmPH expressly states that it has reviewed a document, this does not mean ConfirmPH has confirmed its:

  • authenticity
  • validity
  • completeness

current status; or

legal sufficiency.

Even a document ConfirmPH has reviewed is not a government certification. ConfirmPH does not publish raw documents, registration numbers or policy numbers.

17. Information and content you provide

Information you submit to ConfirmPH must be accurate and lawful. You must not use ConfirmPH to:

  • create fake bookings
  • impersonate another person
  • misuse another person's personal information
  • submit fake payment evidence
  • submit fraudulent complaints
  • create fake reviews
  • upload forged documents
  • harass or threaten another person
  • send spam
  • conduct scams or fraud

interfere with the platform; or

engage in unlawful activity.

You are responsible for content you submit. This may include:

  • inquiries
  • messages
  • reviews
  • reports
  • support requests
  • photographs

documents; and

other submitted material.

You must have the right to submit that content.

By submitting content, you grant ConfirmPH the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, store, transmit, display, moderate, and otherwise use that content for the purpose of operating, securing, supporting, and improving the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Submitting content does not automatically grant ConfirmPH unrestricted rights to use your personal content in advertising or promotional campaigns. Where separate permission is appropriate, ConfirmPH should obtain it separately.

18. Reporting abuse or suspicious activity

You may report suspected:

  • scams
  • fake listings
  • impersonation
  • forged documents
  • abusive behaviour
  • fake reviews
  • harassment

fraud; or

other platform misuse.

ConfirmPH may investigate reports and may take reasonable action, including:

  • requesting additional information
  • restricting content
  • hiding a listing
  • limiting features
  • suspending an account
  • moderating reviews

preserving relevant records; or

taking other action permitted by law or platform policy.

Submitting a report does not guarantee that ConfirmPH will:

  • remove content
  • issue a refund
  • resolve a private rental dispute

suspend a person or business; or

reach a particular conclusion.

19. Off-platform communication

Customers and rental businesses may continue communicating through services such as:

  • Messenger
  • Facebook
  • WhatsApp
  • Viber
  • SMS
  • phone

email; or

other communication channels.

ConfirmPH does not necessarily receive, store, verify, or control communications made through those third-party services.

If important booking details are changed outside ConfirmPH, those changes may not appear in the ConfirmPH booking record unless they are later recorded in ConfirmPH. For important changes, check that the ConfirmPH booking record matches the details you intend to rely on.

Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and service limitations.

20. Accounts, authentication, and private links

Some ConfirmPH features may use:

  • customer accounts
  • authentication codes
  • booking links
  • confirmation links
  • review invitations

support links; or

other private or limited-access links.

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect:

  • passwords
  • OTPs or authentication codes
  • devices
  • email accounts

private booking links; and

other account-access information.

Do not knowingly share private links or authentication information with unauthorized persons. Anyone who obtains a valid private link may, depending on the feature, be able to view information or perform the action associated with that link.

Notify ConfirmPH if you believe your account, device, or private link has been compromised.

21. Communications and notifications

ConfirmPH may send service-related communications concerning matters such as:

  • bookings
  • confirmations
  • booking changes
  • security
  • reminders
  • reviews
  • support

accounts; or

other platform activity.

Delivery may depend on email providers, browsers, device settings, telecom networks, notification providers, internet connectivity, or permissions configured on your device.

ConfirmPH cannot guarantee that every message, OTP, reminder, notification, or email will be delivered or seen on time.

Do not rely on ConfirmPH notifications as your only source for critical pickup, return, safety, or emergency information.

22. Privacy and personal information

ConfirmPH processes personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Depending on how you use the platform, this may include information such as:

  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • booking information
  • inquiry information
  • messages
  • reviews
  • reports
  • support records

device or session information; and

notification information.

When you interact with a rental business through ConfirmPH, information reasonably necessary to handle your inquiry, booking, rental, support request, or related service may be shared with that business.

Some information may need to be retained where permitted or required for reasons such as legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, financial records, disputes, abuse prevention, audits, backups, or platform integrity.

For more information about collection, use, disclosure, retention, deletion, and your privacy rights, see the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Policy.

23. Service availability and changes

ConfirmPH may change, improve, add, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.

The service may occasionally be unavailable or delayed because of maintenance, software errors, internet outages, power interruptions, cloud-service failures, third-party provider failures, telecommunications problems, security incidents, device or browser limitations, emergencies, weather events, or other circumstances outside ConfirmPH's reasonable control.

ConfirmPH does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Some features may behave differently depending on device type, operating system, browser, app version, permissions, internet connection, storage, camera access, notification settings, or third-party services.

24. Suspension, restriction, and misuse

ConfirmPH may restrict, suspend, or terminate access, remove content, or limit features where reasonably necessary to protect users, rental businesses, the platform, or third parties. Reasons may include:

  • fraud
  • fake bookings
  • fake reviews
  • harassment
  • impersonation
  • security abuse
  • forged information
  • misuse of private links
  • unlawful activity
  • serious platform abuse

violation of these Customer Terms; or

violation of other applicable ConfirmPH policies.

ConfirmPH may take proportionate action based on the circumstances and applicable law.

25. ConfirmPH is not an emergency service

ConfirmPH is not an emergency-response service. For accidents, injuries, crimes, immediate danger, medical emergencies, urgent road problems, or urgent vehicle problems, contact the appropriate emergency service, police, medical provider, roadside assistance provider, and/or rental business directly.

Do not rely on ConfirmPH support tickets, notifications, messages, reviews, or reports for emergency assistance.

26. Legal rights and limitations

ConfirmPH provides software and information tools intended to support clearer rental records and communication.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ConfirmPH does not make guarantees concerning the performance, honesty, legality, availability, condition, or conduct of independent rental businesses or their vehicles merely because they use or appear on ConfirmPH.

ConfirmPH is not responsible for losses caused solely by decisions or conduct of an independent rental business, customer, payment provider, communication provider, or other third party where ConfirmPH did not cause or control the relevant conduct.

Nothing in these Customer Terms excludes, restricts, or waives any consumer, privacy, statutory, or other rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived under applicable Philippine law.

27. Support

For platform support, privacy requests, abuse reports, account questions, or questions about these Customer Terms, use the ConfirmPH Contact or Support page.

ConfirmPH will handle support requests as reasonably practicable. Unless ConfirmPH has expressly agreed to a specific service level, response times are not guaranteed.

For rental-specific operational questions, including vehicle availability, pickup, return, deposit, refund, damage, rental price, or rental policy, you should normally contact the rental business directly.

28. Changes to these Customer Terms

ConfirmPH may update these Customer Terms when the service changes, applicable laws or regulatory requirements change, security or platform requirements change, or related ConfirmPH policies change.

The Last updated date at the top of the page will indicate the latest revision.

Where a change materially affects users and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, ConfirmPH will use an appropriate notice or consent process. Continued use of ConfirmPH after updated Terms take effect may constitute acceptance where legally permitted.

29. Language

ConfirmPH may provide translations of these Customer Terms for convenience. Unless ConfirmPH expressly states otherwise, the English version will control if there is a conflict or inconsistency between translated versions.

Nothing in this section limits any language-related rights that apply under applicable law.

30. Governing law

These Customer Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, subject to any mandatory consumer rights, privacy rights, or other protections that apply.

Any dispute-resolution or jurisdiction provision must also remain subject to applicable mandatory law.

31. Contact

For questions about these Customer Terms, use the ConfirmPH Contact or Support page.

For rental-specific matters, contact the relevant rental business directly.

Short summary

ConfirmPH helps renters discover participating rental businesses, send inquiries and booking requests, receive and confirm booking details, view public information and reviews, and use other rental-support tools.

ConfirmPH does not own or operate the rental businesses using the platform.

A customer-confirmed booking means that the customer affirmatively confirmed the booking details presented through ConfirmPH. It does not mean ConfirmPH independently guarantees the vehicle, business, payment, availability, insurance, refund, deposit return, or rental outcome.

Before paying, travelling to pickup, or accepting a vehicle, check important rental details directly with the rental business.

If there is any conflict between the English version and a translated version of this Policy, the English version controls, subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived or limited.
